The Foundation Safety and Rescue Training course is a great way to spend a day, you’ll learn lots of new skills and techniques, get to try out just about every type of kayak, canoe and SUP (stand up paddle board available) and have lots of fun. We really enjoy running these courses as it’s an opportunity to do what we love, which is messing about (with purpose) in boats all day – if you’re having fun and enjoying yourself then you will remember what you’ve learnt.

Your course will be delivered by a British Canoeing National Trainer (someone who trains other providers to be able to run the FSRT course) and very active multidiscipline coach, so you can rest assured your course will be current, progressive and informative.

Your course will be run at our comfortable, modern waterside facility in Taunton, just off Junction 25 or 26 of the M5.

The course syllabus can be found here by clicking the British Canoeing Logo below. There is a certification fee of £5 for BC members and £10 for non-members which is included in the course fee.
