This exciting, new award is ideal for Instructors, Canoe Clubs, University groups, Scout/Guide leaders and School teachers
looking to take on formal leadership responsibilities in benign, sheltered water environments and aims to support Leaders to run safe, quality, enjoyable trips based on their group’s needs and aspirations.

We believe that assessments should be an enjoyable learning experience for all involved. With this in mind we will create a relaxed, professional environment that will allow you to focus on the job in hand and perform to the best of your abilities.

The assessment will be run by an active British Canoeing Paddlesport Leader National trainer, who really wants to see you out on the waterusing this great award with groups!

Pre- requisites

Paddlers wishing to complete a Paddlesport Leader Assessment are required to register with their Home Nation before they are able to attend the assessment.

Valid (within 3 years) British Canoeing recognised 1-day First Aid award

Full Home Nation Association Membership

Be 16 years old – although by law you will not be deemed responsible to lead until you reach 18 years old.
