- White Water Canoe Coach Training
20th October 2018 - 21st October 2018
9:00 am - 5:00 pm
This fantastic, practical course takes the underpinning coaching theories and concepts from the core training* and puts them into the moderate white water environment.
Your course will be based on the stunning River Barle on Exmoor, a fantastic progressive coaching environment and a really fun river to paddle in a canoe. Since the National Park reinstated the bogs and mires on the moor we tend to find the river holds it water level well for several days after rain.
You will have plenty of opportunity to develop your coaching practice and philosophies and put them into action over the two days under the guidance of your experienced tutor.
The following prerequisites will need to be in place before you attend the course, if you are at all unsure please get in touch to discuss.
- Full British Canoeing membership
- Moderate or Advanced Water Canoe Leader (formally 4 or 5 Star)
- Coach Award Core Training OR BC Level 2 (UKCC) Training/Assessment OR BC Moderate/Advanced water training or assessment OR BC Level 3 (UKCC) Core Training/Assessment.
